I have a question, I've heard that different people can have different body shapes but look very different because of the way they carry their weight. Is this true?

I'm a seventeen year-old girl and my shoulders are wide in lenght by very thin in width. Sometimes I feel like a linebacker when I'm walking around. Does anyone else have this problem?

hey there-

yes, that is very true. my sister and i are both heavy, but because she is a rounder shape, she has always carried it worse and looked bigger than she was, where i have always looked lighter than i am. broad shoulders can be hard while you are young, but as you get a little older, you'll probably "grow into them" a bit. 15-17 or 18 can still be awkward, so give it some time. also, if you are self-conscious of them, look up fashion tips online about what tops are most flattering for broader shoulders. hope this helps. feel free to email me if you want.

Full body weight training in your workout can also define and tone your shape, helping you look more balanced as well, and this will help.
