I am a student in university so we all know what that means....
The freshmen 15 increased to 50, but that was over 4 years. I finally made it to the gym at the end of September and haven't looked back.
23 pounds down, 27 to go.

The only other person that has seen this picture is the one who actually took it. I have gone through all of my pictures and this has to be the worst one of me so that makes it harder to post, but I want to show my actual progress in the last 5 months.
The "fat" picture is from 3 years ago. The "skinny" picture is a week old.
I don't know if its just me but I couldn't see the pictures so I made them as links you can click on

The skateboarder is via my 13 year old son. I am very computer challenged. I asked him to find a picture... this is what I got. Very fitting as I am leaping into better shape!!!

Thank you girls! Honestly until I "relooked" at my "fat" picture and compared it with my "skinny" picture, I didn't really realize how different I looked!
In some ways I still see the old Danielle....
I am just not at the "looking good naked" point yet

Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they haev to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary.
Impossible is NOTHING.
(I freakin LOVED that ad campaign)

Really though, congratulations, it's an amazing difference and all your hard work is really showing! Must feel great

I am sure I look better now then I did, but clothes like to mask the unflattering areas of your body. But hopefully that will change before summer and I won't have to worry about what I look like in a bathing suit!

I have been working out regularly since Sept 07. I've been here several times in the past BUT this time the change is going to last a LIFETIME!!
I am the mother of a ten year old competitive figure skater (which takes alot of my time). I work fulltime and my hubbie works away. Time is a challenge!!!
I would like to lose 20lbs by July 1.
I resolve to: Short term (by June 1, 2008): 1. Get back on track after my vacation in Cuba (April 7 - 16, 2008) 2. cardio 5x/week including trying to get back to running if my achillis tendon will ever heal! 3. weight train 3-4 x per week 4. Drink 64 oz water per day (this will be the biggest challenge!) 5. Obtain a Normal BMI (154 lb)!
Midterm Goals (by July 1, 2008): 1. Continue with short term 2. Try to increase mileage to run a 10 km race around Canada Day (July 1, 2008) 3. Try to find a 10 km race to run between June 15 - July 15, 2008 4. Obtain goal weight (currently set at 150 lb but maybe 144 lb) - BMI around 23 5. Continue weight training
Long term (By March 31, 2009): 1. To still be at this in 12 months time (the exercise and health habits not the weight loss part!) 2. To maintain a BMI of around 23! 3. To run a half marathon...if all works out...Myrtle Beach Half Marathon Feb 2009

I used to hate all forms of exercise, now I bike all over the place, jog from time to time, attend Jazzercise class, take a Pilates/Yoga class, do Turbo Jam, and I'm doing some free weight exercises.
Life is good - and I plan to keep it this way!
80 lbs down! Woohoo!

Success is not a race, be patient. Success leads to success. Success is always a work in progress. Success doesn't come to you--you go to it. Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process. Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it. Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying. Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED! If at first you don't succeed-try, try again

Words to live by: "Now's the time to grab the steering wheel of your life. Delve deep within yourself and take responsibility for your health and behavior. Ask yourself hard questions and face the truth of what needs to be done. Weight loss is not always easy or fair but you are the only one that can lose weight for you. Take a turn for the better!"
Goals: 1) Lose ~45 pounds 2) Work out at least 6 days a week 3) Eat healthier consistently
I will reward myself at the following weights: 235, 230, 225, 220, 215, 205, 200, 195
I will reassess my goals after I have met the above goals.

Thank you soo much... the only difference is our time frame.. I picked mine so that I would be in shape for the summer, but if I had a trip that I was going I think I would be in the gym 24/7 because I would be so scared about what I looked like in a bathing suit... hahaha
I am just hoping that I reach my goal by the time it gets warm enough here so that I can wear the bathing suit I have always wanted to be able to wear.

I have exactly two week left before the bathing suit goes on in public ...and it will be bikinis...and my weight is not quite where I wanted to be (within 10 lb)!
Being a mom and working (with my husband away) as not always provided the time that I would have liked. But this trip is only one week of the rest of my life and summer is close and that's a 3-4 month bikini season (I hope) so the battle goes on! Yes my vacation was my target but this is a lifestyle change for the rest of my life!!!
Danielle I don't know if we will ever be completely satisified with our bodies (especially in a bathing suit) but we just have to be proud of our accomplishments and most of all...never look back!!

I am 26 years old and currentlly live in the Middle Georgia area. I have a four year old daughter and a wonderful boyfriend of almost four years (April 1st). I have been regularlly going to a gym for almost nine months and am quite active throughout the day at work. I wasn't loosing but a few pounds here and there and quicklly gaining them back. I finally woke up one day and noticed that I weighed 10 pounds more than the day I gave birth to my daughter. (181 pounds) I had a regular doctors appointment already scheduled and the doctor determined that I was elligible for prescription diet pills. He also said that due to my height I fall into the over weight catagory. I have been taking the pills for a bit over a month now and have already lost 18 pounds. I eat better than I ever have and have cut almost all of my caffine out of my diet.
