So guys ,

I have been using traineo for the past 7 months and have lost about 20 pounds!!! I made changes in my lifestyle for the better starting August 2007. Had gone to Coney island in NY with my boyfriend and just for fun...i jumped on one of those automated scales. I was shocked to see my weight read 168 lbs. I knew i was in the early 160s and never cared a lot about it...but 168 was a shocker. I was so so gloomy for the rest of the day and decided to make a change.

Sometime around that i discovered "TRAINEO" and for the first time in my life i started reading on weight loss/ nutrition/ fitness! To jump start my fitness plan...i bought an elliptical! Not a really expensive one....but it helped me lose those 20 lbs ...so it was my life saver! I slowly started making changes in my nutrition too and the weight dropped slowly! I was dissapointed when i didnt see numbers drop fast since i was working out on the elliptical for an hour about 5 times a week! I continued and now im here....lost around half of my goal weight and happy I will continue and reach my goal weight soon

The first image is of how i looked for the past 2 years. The bottom one is recent! I still have about 18 lbs to lose and im sure il do it slowly and steadily!!!

You look great, Sher S. I am so happy for you that you have made such a big progress. Congratulation!

I also discovered Traineo by accident. Not only it is rich in information and resource, I have made a lot of great virtual friends, like Jen, Dean, Cardio and you. All of you have been very supportive.

Thanks Kathy , Jen and GLovia. I am 5'6". I hate hate hate my thighs and god look at my tummy....I cannot believe i did that to myself! Its mostly attributed to eating out/ drinking a lot!!! I just had to stop!!! I stayed in India and the middle east most of my life...when i came to the US i just got too lazy to cook , so i started eating out a lot! And boom....i put on 40 pounds(

Congrats, Sher, that's ossum! Looking great!
I'm sure on Coney Island it's pretty simple matter to find someplace to eat out, too.
Looks like we're doing that next 18 lbs-phase at the same time.

You know what, I have gained more than 40lbs after I came to US also.

The portion of food serving in US is bigger. Not trying to blame US food entirely. It was also slower in metabolism as I get older and also the loneliness as a FOB drove me to get comfort from food.

I completely understand Glovia. When i came here, i started going out with my friends. Also, i met my boyfriend and we both started exploring NY ...how could i not eat So mine was not loneliness...but the other way around!
