I also agree with the its easy to talk about things here mentality. I told my sister the other day that I've lost 10 pounds since I started, and she rolled her eyes and told me it was all water weight >.<!

Here I feel safe talking about how I feel.

Again, awesome job Rachael, you should be proud, your not bragging! It's good to hear.

Gonna be? ... Is already!

Good idea taking those measurements when you started. It's nice to see progress ain't it? Great job RM.

Kathy, I totally agree with you. It is waay easier to be honest on here. It's almost like "I'll show you yours if you'll show me mine" kind of thing. And owning up to the issues and posting my stats every single day helps me so so much with motivation. I know that I will have to come here and post my diet so I am much less likely to eat that piece of chocolate that will put me over my 1750 Cal. ...

Reply by Kathy O

Congratulations!! This is the type of positive reinforcement that people need to hear Rachel so no...you are not bragging. You should be singing from the roof tops!

It is a lot easier to be honest with people on here that share our battle then with alot of the people in our lives. Most of my friend do not know my stats and would be shocked (as well) to hear how much I weighed at my heaviest as I too "carry my weight well".

Danielle, GREAT work!!! And I definitely know what you mean about being tall. The few people in my life that I have been comfortable enough to tell my weight are like "NO WAY you weight that much!!!!" They just almost don't believe me.

Being tall (for a female) I am always going to weigh more then I look no matter what. When in highschool I weighed 145 (I was a swimmer with a lot of muscle) and I asked friends how much they thought I weighed and they all said something like 120 to 125.... and I was no whe...

Reply by Colin Barnes

well done girl! I don't know why, but on here, I totally don't mind talking about my weight, BF, dieting, exercise, but with my friends in real life (like that I actually see and hang out with) I definitely don't feel comfortable discussing that stuff with a few exceptions. I mean, they know I'm doing the tri, but they didn't even know that until like a week ago or something. I'd be pretty mortified if they found out my BF was 33.5%. Just curious, what was the time frame? EDIT: Just saw it in the title, duh.

I think you've just motivated me to go measure myself now.

It's so crazy how wildly measurements vary from one individual to another. My Chest-Waist-Hips measurements as of a few days ago are 42-31.5-46. I guess I have most of my fat in my butt, haha. My waist is shrinking the quickest for me though. Chest 42 to 40.5 (always from the boobs first :down
Waist 39 to 38.25
Hips 42.5 to 43.5 (??)
Thigh 21.5 to 21.25
Calf 15.75 to 15
Bicep 12.5 to 12.5 (flexed 13.25 - didn't measure that last time)

BF 37 to 33.5!!! That's a loss of 3.5%!!! At 186 lbs and 37, I had about 69 lbs of fat, and at 181 lbs and 33.5% BF, I have about 60.5 lbs of fat - which means I lost 8.5 lbs of fat and gained 3.5...
