My name is Deborah a.k.a Debbie or Deb. I am a 47 year old homeschooling mother of 3. My oldest is soon to be 18 and in her first year of college doing fantastic. My two boys are 14 an 8.
I grew up in northern michigan on a lake and was very active. I swam like a fish, water skiied, snow skiied, snow mobiled, played tennis and dabbled in other sports. I was the skinny girl everyone loved to hate, because I could eat anything and everything I wanted and never gain weight.
Not so anymore! I have 17 pounds to lose to reach my ideal weight. I'm stoked about this eating plan (I don't believe in diets). If this works I know I could continue this for the rest of my life. And there is plenty of proof on this forum that it does work. So sign me up - I'm coming on board!

I am a 51 year old wife, mother and grandmother who is in need of help in this weight loss battle. Behind this smile, is a sadness that comes from being overweight and inside hating myself. I am tired of pretending that it doesn't matter, because it does. I hate looking in the mirror, trying on clothes, and not knowing if I will live long enough to see my kids and grandkids grow old. Out of all the things I can do, and work so hard to do. This is the one thing, I fail at, day in and day out. Maybe through some daily or weekly motivators , I can achieve this dream of mine to lose the weight, and not feel so alone.

Debbie

I'm *starting* to enjoy running - at least on my treadmill. And I can't wait for ChaLean Extreme to come out this December! Hoping my hubby will do that with me. :)
Okay...new goal (for now) of 150 lbs. 152 lbs would give me a "normal" BMI for the first time in 15 years, and 150 lbs will mean a total of 100 lbs lost. That's only 14 lbs away! I can DO this!

As soon as I can get a pic in something besides black workout clothes, I'll post an update pic. Since I'm down about 85 lbs now, I'm starting to think a 100 lb loss might actually be possible...
So updated pic coming (hopefully!) soon.

Well, the new pics aren't great, but here is the one from May 2007 @ 250 lbs and a couple from tonight @ around 162 lbs.
Now it's time to go do my 2 miles on the treadmill! TTFN!

I've really screwed up lately. After doing a great job with the weightloss for 2 months straight, I spend 3 weeks with family in Florida then a week in Kentucky mourning the loss of my PapPap. Now I'm back where I started. It's time to get serious and stop slacking off, goodbye snacks and soda-pop goodbye x-tra large pants! My goal is three lbs a week...lets see how I do.

Thanks, ladies!
I am 5' 5" tall. As far as a final goal weight, I don't really have one. I mean 165 was supposed to be my goal weight, but I'm still losing at this point. More weight training is definitely a future goal as I'm softer than I'd like to be, but I think I'll just do my thing and let my body decide where it wants to be weight wise.

I love it! You have such a cute figure! Do you know wnat your body fat % is?
Since you're still losing weight, you should definitely set a new goal. Whether it be a weight goal or just simply a fitness goal - set something to keep yourself striving for fitness and you will stay thin.

I've just finished a 3 month stint of training and dieting and met my goal of losing 30 pounds and feel awesome. My next goal is to lose 20 pounds in the next 3 months. I figure my weekly loss will start to slow down so it will probably take just as long to lose 20 as it did the first 30.

I thought for a second I made a post and forgot about it since I just reached the 30 pound mark myself. I should post some before and after pics... or at the very least update my profile pic.... time to break out the camera.
