This article was updated a little haphazardly, so a lot of the dates and "lbs lost" numbers are out of whack.
Essentially, Tanya started lifting weights and doing cardio in January 2006 and by August 2006 had lost 20 lbs. Not bad at all, given she started out with zero knowledge and experience!
What followed is
even more remarkable though -- spurred on by her success, she decided in 2007 that she would compete! The result: 81 lbs lost (176lbs down to 95lbs), with a competition body fat of 5.5%!
All this in under a year-and-a-half. Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster, Batman!
