Quoting: MiaDolceBella I'm new here (sorry for my mistakes in English, I'm a Spanish speaker) Well have you tried the JUDDD Diet? Tell me what you think about this diet
I personally don't think it'll work. Genetically speaking, mice models rarely RARELY translate well into real-life. At best they're partially accurate. At worse, you're harming yourself.
I went and read the actual ARTICLE this regime is based on. Coming from a scientist...let's just say, I'm skeptical for various reasons. The results are not convincing at all. And unless you think you can maintaint his diet for the rest of your life, spending 8-10 months might harm you more than help.

I am 29 years old and have grown passionate about fitness and health! Overall, I have lost and kept off a little over 40 pounds, and I have about 20 or so more that I would like to take off. This last year has been tough and distracting in many ways, and I am back to work now! I am revisiting Traineo, because this site and the people here were instrumental in helping me lose my original 40 pounds so I am back! I regret that because of time constraints I won't be able to be AS active in the forums as I used to, but I will certainly try to stay in there and reconnect with old friend as well as make new ones.
My fitness goals remain the same as before as I haven't achieved them yet: *GOAL 1 = 140 lbs Target Date = 7/31/08 Date Met = TBD CURRENT FITNESS GOALS: Run a 5K, improve flexibility enough to do the splits, be able to do 50 pushups in a row, be able to do a pull-up, learn to do a hand stand and then hand stand pushups. :)

Thanks again guys!
Sandra to answer your question about JUDDD, I have not tried it, and after looking into it a bit, I know it wouldn't work for me. In fact, I never chose a specfic diet at all because I wanted to create a new lifestyle that I would be able to maintain without thinking after I had lost all the weight I had wanted to lose. Even if I had chosen a diet, JUDDD would NOT have been my first choice. There seems to be too much planning, etc around up days and down days and did not fit in well with everything else I was learning about creating a new lifestyle of eating the RIGHT foods and portions... which is what I really learned through my whole process.
I rarely denied myself anything while I was losing that 50 pounds, and I still don't. If I was at a BBQ, I ate a hamburger and chips, at birthday parties, I ate cake. I even had a few drinks at New Years. It really just came down to controlling portions. I found that by not denying myself, I was in MORE control.
I hope that you find the right method for you. But, I would stress that no matter what route you choose to take for your new eating habits, please choose something sustainable and that won't require much thought long term. If I had to give suggestions, I would suggest a low glycemic diet something like Transitions or the Zone Diet that is easily sustainable. Weight Watchers seems to also be a good program where people find a lot of success and learn healthy eating habits that they carry with them for a lifetime.
Good luck!

I'm a 26 year old guy from Tielt-Winge, Belgium. After my studies I would like to go back to my slim waist from several years ago. I completely change my lifestyle and started to eat better and exercise a lot more.
