There may have been a thread on this a while back (can't remember) but I thought it might be beneficial for those that are interested to post their weight loss blog (whoever has one) for others to read and get motivation/ideas from.
Mine is:
www.rmont.blogspot.com
Mine probably won't provide any motivation at all at this point in time, but after the next couple months it hopefully will.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

I have started two new blogs, one to follow my running and a Quest to a Marathon at blog.262quest.com and one to follow my weight loss at blog.2big.org, please check them out.
I am an IT professional / Developer which means I sit in front of a computer most of the day. This means very little exercise and plenty of time to eat.
I decided at the first of the year that I was going to lose weight. I started by changing my eating habits and started walking.
I did so for about a month and then added some weight lifting and started to run a little bit.
I have so far lost 29 lbs in just over 3 months and would like to lose just over another 50 lbs by the end of the year.
I have started running quite a bit more and am training to run the Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta on July 4th (10k)
I need all the encouragement I can get because to do this I am getting up every morning during the week at 4:30 to go running. With a wife and kids this is really the only time that I can consistently do what I need to do.
I am driven, but at times get a bit discouraged because I don't have anybody to work out with or run with.
All in All, I know I can do it, I just have to remember that when I don't do so well, it is in the past and what matters is going forward.
A more up to date thread on me: http://www.traineo.com/14_2366_0.html

they're quite easy these days! There are plenty of free blog hosting sites to use: blogger.com, wordpress.com, etc. Or there are free blogging "communities" like Xanga & LiveJournal. I'd recommend Blogger or WordPress if you want something easy to use. (and if you have any questions, feel free to msg me - been blogging since '99 & have probably used every program out there ;) lol)

I'm a homeschooling mother of two and am working to get this weight off for good. My husband and I are doing this together this time, so I think it will work! The last time I lost any weight was with my doctor, medifast, and phentermine in a trifecta of disaster. I did great losing about 70 pounds very quickly, but as soon as I added a fitness program, I contracted shingles (which was NOT fun) and had a plantar fascia injury which is still not 100%. I gained all the weight back and am hobbling along trying to add in a fitness program that I can do. Right now, my favorite things are weight training and water aerobics. That might have to suffice until I'm a lot lighter on my feet.

I'm loving traineo! My husband and a friend are both using it and we have a little friendly competition and accountability going on among us. Thank you, traineo.com!

I agree with Lilly. blogger.com and wordpress.com are probably the best choices to get a free blog, and get one quickly.
There are other options out there, but for just starting out and not having a lot of computer/web knowledge, these free services are great.

I've always been bigger. Maybe not classified as being fat because I carry it pretty well. But, well, I'm fat. There's no fooling myself. In January, months of hard work paid off as my wife got pregnant with what will be our first child. I had been exercising a bit until that point, but I decided to ramp it up a notch and get my weight to where I can be healthy and be around a long time for my wife and kid.
I've been known to drop 40-50 pounds in 5 months or so on a few occasions, only to slowly gain that weight back over a couple years. This time is different. I know everybody says that and usually that statement doesn't come to fruit, but I've got that incentive...becoming a daddy.
Got a blog rolling- rokandroll.blogspot.com
I post on it a few times a week. Mostly fitness stuff. I try to be somewhat humorous. Check it out if you're REALLY bored.

http://anotherfatguy.wordpress.com/ I'm looking at a total weight loss of over 130 lbs (60 kg for those of you in Europe like me...), from 150 kg to 90 kg (330 lbs to 198 lbs). I'm a 36 year old man and am REALLY tired of... well being tired.
So far I've been training like a mofo, and have totally revisited my diet - so far so good, 1/3 of my goal HAS been met - YIPPEE!!
Have met some great people here, and looking forward to meeting even more here on traineo - don't be afraid to bombard me with motivation - I'll take all you can give me :)

I like seeing so many people creating niches of strength and solace for their continuing journeys toward the better.
I've got a blog of my own for this very purpose too, but it's just between me and I.
It's really something to go back through the years and see the changes in both the physical and the spiritual, along with the reservoir of health knowledge ever rising.

You could use Livejournal, Vox, or even Wordpress (just password protect the posts). I'm sure there's others.
If you have your own server space, you of course can password protected the directory.

I just completed my second Half Ironman and hit my target of Sub 6 hours. Currently training for a Half Marathon (everything in halves) and then a tougher Half Ironman in December. I am wasting a lot of energy on these races carrying excess fat around the course. I know I would be faster if I was lighter. I have lost about 20lbs in last two years but still have maybe another 10 that could go.
