I gave you a small chance to catch up - I haven't run for three days. I started coming down with a cold and since my Half is next week I figured I would not run for a little bit and let my body heal itself..... seems to have worked, off for my run this morning!

It will be good to have you back running!

what happened today that made you feel good?

I have a shirt/jacket type thingie that I leave at work to put on when it gets chilly.

Today I put it on for the first time in awhile, and I can't believe it used to fit I can now begin to call it a "wrap" instead of a shirt!

Now if I could only come down one pant size more, then I could fit into some of my old clothes - I'm tired of walking around in balloon pants hehe

Excellent for you, Dean. That must have been a major feeling after so long.

And this weekend--an hour? How long did the mile take you? Seems like a big jump from (I'm guessing) 10-ish minutes, to a whole hour. Good vibes to your ankle.

Yeah, I had a goal to do 8 miles in an hour by the end of Feb. Not ready to let go of that goal yet. Have been keeping up the hiking and got in 10 miles or so last weekend with a bit of weight, so I'm not too concerned about the distance per se, though it is a big challenge for me. I'll get there.

Like a dog with a bone, I guess.

Thanks for the well-wishing though, I appreciate that!

Awesome Spyke!! That's a great feeling when your clothes don't fit any more. I love realizing that the pants are way too big. Good job!!!

Today, I got myself some new running shoes AND some new gear: sports bra, gloves, pants and a shirt.

Tomorrow, I'll be making the most of some of it in the blissful sun. Gotta grab it when it happens.

That's for sure. When it's the wrong way, it is definitely not a good feeling.

New positive for today: I'm almost back down to my weight before the 5 day steroid treatment! Yea! I knew it was just water weight, but it's nice to see it go away. Also, today is FRIDAY!!! Yea!!!

I'm waiting to be able to get in my "skinny" pants still, but I HAVE tightened my belt 4 holes since I started - does that count??

Great job, that is an awesome feeling!!

I also liked it when I had to replace my belt - after putting two holes in it. I just recently moved another notch on my new belt - and I am here to tell you the good feeling doesn't go away, each small victory is wonderful!

Keep up the good work!

Wow!! Sypke 4 belt holes that is marvelous!!!!!!!

I have a closet full of skiny clothes that I'm working my way back into!! I put on a pair of pants this week that I wish I had woren a belt with - I spent all day pull my pants up - a little too much butt showing at times!!! I'm not complaining - I figure another 5lb or so and alot of clothes is going to be leaving my closet permanently and then stores what out!!!

I'm down a lb from yesterday! My weight has flatlined all week, even though the inches were coming off. The scale finally caught up with me. I'm making up for it today!

(And I haven't even used the bathroom this morning yet, if you know what I mean, hahahahahaha)

Whooooo Hoooooo!!

My positive note of the day:

I went for a 1 mile run with my daughter, and then my son and daughter went back out with me for another mile walk/run. Saturday is my normal long run day but this weeks schedule was so off that I was able to do this. I need to do this more often.

I posted all about it on my blog.... and don't feel like typing it all again

Congrats everyone. I had an FF (fan-fxckingtastic) workout today. I felt great! Then after my shower I put on a new button up XXL shirt. I came downstairs and my g/f and her mom told me to button it, I said no it won't button.... well after 5 minutes they got me to finally try and button it... Only it wasnt really trying because it Buttoned right up! Now I recently switched from XXXL t-shirts to XXL t-shirts now I am moving from XXXL button up shirts to XXL button shirts while wearing my XXL t-shirt.

They both gave me a bunch of really big compliments and it felt great... Her mom kept saying I should be proud of myself and all of that, then her sister came out of her bedroom and said 'Wow you look really cute today'.

So I am having a great great start to my day.

Good for you, that does feel great!

I have another couple good ones today..... it has been a good day!

I finally fixed my garage door opener. It has been broken for months, and I just didn't think I could fix it myself. I ordered the parts this week and they came yesterday. I took it down and fixed it, and did some greasing up of everything. It has not worked this smooth or quiet since we bought the house 6 years ago. No more opening and closing by hand every day. Yea it was more calories, but also more of an aggravation.

I also took the new found confidence and replaced the springs on my other garage door. I bought these springs over 6 months ago and they have been sitting around waiting for me to replace them. I started thinking that I was going to have to call a repair man because I didn't think I could do it. Well, 15 minutes after I got done with the first door I was finishing up the springs and greasing on the second door - and it too is quieter than it has been since we moved in.

Whoooooo Hooooooo! What a load off - and money saved! No more waking the neighbors with noisy garage doors when I open them to drive to the gym at 4:45 in the morning!

And one last thing..... No plans or nothing to do tonight - a free night!!!!
