I have one that made my day:

I am now doing more with my chin-up routine than ever, meaning, when I pass the bar with my chin, I do 10 as low as I can dips, (likely about 4-5 inches I reckon), followed by the usual uber-slow neg. rep.

I had been doing them sans-dips before--just going up and then slowly back down and I'm really liking this new addition to the exercise. I did five like this today, along with the usual calisthenics and a little ellipticallin'.

And the protein's been plentiful.

I did even better on my run last night than last week!! I got my 5k down to 32:40 - last week was 34 minutes! And once again, I feel less tired today than I did after the run last week.

Great Job Rachel!

I'm happy I finished my 20min last night -- going to start working on speed a little more tomorrow with my running.

ooh, happy dance

Started with a tough morning, out of bed an hour+ late, hung over, pouring out.... But it's SO spring and I just want to go run and dance in the puddles I'm happy in the ephemeral sense and this wonderful donavon frankenreiter cd i'm listening to right now is AWESOME!!

Dancing at my desk while on a conference call

I'm no runner, but the onset of spring has me looking into some good running shoes to take it up. I don't know if the trails are ready for a fat man in spandex yet.

that, my friends, is what's commonly known as an 'ally oop' or an assist, and it was executed perfectly...

I never had more than a chair massage, so that sounds great!

I skipped my 5x5 workout yesterday, but made it up today so I'm still on track.

Late Saturday at the gym seems to be more sociable, so I got two compliments today. One guy was impressed that I did deep squats (thigh tops below parallel) and another asked me about proper form on deadlifts. (Gave them both an earful of Rippetoe and 5x5 lovin'!)

I'm still a Novice or below on my lifts, but apparently I'm beginning to look like I know what I'm doing.

The Stronglifts.com 5x5 program is awesome. I've broken through all my prior bests and I'm still going. Today's squat was 225 lbs, and deadlift was 265 lbs.

ETA: Holy cow, I forgot that the strength standards were based on 1 rep maxes! So my squat is 279 lbs and my deadlift is 329 lbs. I'm an Intermediate lifter! Kick-ass!

I'm new to this post, but my positive is that I just signed up to run Race for Life to raise money for Cancer Research. I'm really excited to do it as it's a charity that's quite close to home, so I'm just bugging everyone to sponsor me now lol! Fingers crossed I raise a lot

I gained 2 pounds in the past week, just haven't been eating well as I cram in a whole bunch of final project work so I can graduate from college.

On the flipside, I'm telling myself it's muscle gain (prolly not). Best part is I benched my weight today (6 whole reps) and overall increased my bench by 20lbs from last week just by pushing myself.

Lisa, that's awesome!! I do the ACS Relay For Live every year and it is amazing

I am SO back on track, and excited about it. Haven't had a smoke today and it feels good. Been to the gym, am good sore, and haven't really lost any strength in my wanderings. Looking to hit legs hard today and throw in some chest (hopefully test 1rm if i can get a spot) because I probably can't make it tomorrow. Got the gym bag packed and threw in my protein mix too.

Bad note, I am looking to get a second job so I won't be in a position to hit the gym 5 days a week and still get my beauty sleep (and from my profile pic, you know damn well I need my beauty sleep). So once I get that down, it will require a bit of an adjustment to what I can still accomplish in the gym

My positive for today is that it marks my first 20lb loss. And I've finally started to get some comments from others of how well I look, which is nice. Now for the next 20!

Well done with the bench press Dan - very impressive, good going Dave!

Well, I'm feeling much better today than I did yesterday. Yesterday I was border line depressed probably about 80% due to a horrible night's sleep and 20% due to me being pissed at myself for doing so poorly over the weekend. Thankfully, people in my real life and people here on Traineo stepped up to encourage me and tell me it was alright. And I'm feeling very much better today. So thanks to the people who were there for me yesterday.

I bought some running shoes and used them. Running beats the hell out of my knees since I'm 255 pounds. I did it anyway and managed to run for 2 miles in my first attempt since I was a kid collecting fun-run t-shirts. I got done with my run and nobody gave me a t-shirt. I plan on adding more semi-distance running to my workout plan since it really gets my heartrate up.
