Okay this is a very positive in my house I literally jumped up and down I was so excited... My g/f parents bought me the wrong size of shirt for xmas (XXL) and at that point I wasn't planning on working out or losing weight so I was just going to return them. My g/f said she wanted to keep them to wear to bed so one night I tried them on and it was way to small (I was in XXXL then.)

Well tonight I tried it on again for shxts and giggles and it fit me not just barley but pretty damn good... I havn't worn XXL for about 5 years!!! I am so happy!

Way to go Ara!!!!!! The best feeling in the world I think!

My big fat positive today was finally reaching 45 minutes on my treadmill - it is something I have been working towards since 4 weeks ago, and finally I have reached the top of the mountain and am loving the view

What a great thread, Jen! All of us are excited to tell our stories. The growth of this thread is going to compete with your "what's your workout commitment for today or tomorrow?"

Today, I finally have made up my mind and signed up the La Jolla half-marathon in April. It is a very hilly course that I have been hesitated. Now, I have a goal to work on. It is going to be great!

I just returned from a sunshiney half hour run in the park and had the ole ticker averaging 180 bpm for the whole thing.

My times are getting better and better, as I had to do an extra loop around the soccer feild to get the run up to :30. That and 25 minutes of power-walking has done me some GOOD for today. And my knees feel, NORMAL.

Dog seems pleased as well.

Get well Sniffy-Tim.

And Glovia, all the best for that half marathon in April, you're an inspiration.

Jen, here's to that mind-speaking becoming a habit.

Cheers, Jen and what's more amazing to me is that at that rate, I still feel relatively comfortable. Sweating up a storm, but not breathing like a nut or anything.

As for my dear dog--he's nice and floppy now, snoozing away already.

I think I'll pull back the reigns a little on my next run, as I reckon I'm not doing my fat-burning plan any favors going that hard--but its fun!

This weekend, I adopted a kitten from the animal shelter.

Just like me, she spends much of her free time on the computer.

I've laughed aloud so often since she arrived...

She's good mews (tablet pc translation error but funny!)

Wow, great job everyone! Love this Jen/TNM, you have made such awesome progress in so many ways

My good news-my karate class was rescheduled so I can get back at that, and also, I have a friend who is teaching me to snowboard tomorrow-I'm so excited. She seems confident I will be able to handle it. Wish me luck-(NO broken bones).

Good luck, Amy! I tried last weekend and although I spent most of my time not upright, it was a lot of fun! Keep at it, it takes a little time to get it down I hear

I got a raise today, and a bonus for my next pay period, so I'm excited about that... and I kicked ASS in the gym yesterday, couldn't get in the squat rack so I was leg-pressing 550 w/out any trouble, not having done it in a while... Then my friend made me do crunches w/ the medicine ball and I was about 100% better at them than the last time... Feeling good

I just ate a Zaxby's Zalad! Yum! I got it with no fried onions and I gave away some of the Texas toast and threw the rest away so all it had was lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, cheese, grilled chicken, and lite ranch dressing. Only 500 Cal and it's an awesome lunch! I'm glad that I can still enjoy some of the things I used to love with only minor changes!

Then I ate 1 single bite-size Famous Amos cookie (25-30 Cal). I'm proud to say that I can now eat just 1 of something. That is not something I used to be able to do. Before if I had a craving for something sweet, I would have eaten the whole bag (290 Cal). Yea me!

Yes it did! I just wanted something sweet so I asked a couple of people if they had any candy. One guy offered me a bag of cookies and I asked if I could just have 1. He looked at me a little strangely, but I just opened the package, took one out, shoved it in my mouth, and put the rest of the bag back on his desk. I haven't been back to ask for another and that was like 3 hours ago!!

I ran a mile last night without any ankle issues!!!

The attempt to run for an hour on Sunday will be a real test of the ankle, but even so. I'm Happy!!!!

It's only been plaguing me for nearly 6 bloody months but I'm getting there!!
