if you failed to love your body and treat it the way it deserves to be treated, what has it cost you? what will it cost you if you dont make changes now?

for me it has cost me love for myself and alot of wasted time and energy. i can only look to the future and not regret the past by working as hard as i can to be the best i can be now.

Well...when I was fat I didn't get to enjoy fashion that much. And I wasn't as happy.

I'm one of those people that believes that you should live in the present-eating healthy is part of that, I think. You need to feel good to succeed.

Before I started eating better and working out, I missed out on a lot of fresh air, sunshine, and natural beauty. I felt like I was always in such a hurry, but I wasn't doing anything productive with the time I was "saving"! Now I walk to and from work and other places - regardless of the weather. Tonight, I walked about 2 miles round trip to the grocery store in the snow, and it was gorgeous! I'm so glad I'm not missing out on simple little pleasures like a walk through the snow anymore!

I've always been fat and I have a slightly disordered mindset. It's hard for me to recognize that I need to be healthy, not just "pretty" (but I'm working on that).

But because I'm fat, I decide not to be obnoxious and rude to others by wearing skimpy clothes. Because of this, I've worn the same outfit nearly every day since I was 10. Jeans, T-shirt, sneakers. Apparently I'm "not that fat", but I like to think I'm nice enough not to jiggle near other people.

I also don't swim. Terrific exercise, but I hate swimsuits.

I've missed out on a lot of social things. Pool parties, anything where I have to wear dresses, whatever.

Honestly, I can't wait until I'm skinny and confident.

Be confident now! I know that's easier said than done, but losing weight isn't going to change your whole mental attitude. That's a completely different issue. I think Cardio King may have been the first one to suggest this, but make a list of good qualities about yourself, and look at it everyday. Be someone you can be proud of right now. Don't let your view of yourself depend on a number on a scale.

It has cost me...

Friendships, relationships, happiness, and a plethora of other things. I've missed out on so much by lacking confidence in my appearance. I cringe when I think of how different my life could've been if I had stayed in shape back in high school.

But thankfully, I still have time to make the necessary changes to get myself in better shape and reclaim what I've lost.

We can all do it, so let's get there!!!

I know I already posted, but whatever.

When I still ate crap 90% of the time, I was prone to stomach aches. I blamed it on having a weak stomach and Pepto Bismal became my friend. Now that I eat that junk in moderation, I have next to no stomach problems.

I think being fat has cost me too much lol, I used to eat chips a lot and it made me lazy. Now I feel many times faster and stronger than I have ever been.

I think that being fat mad eme miss out on a lot of memories with my kids! I have been going through the family photos and can hardly find any of me from the last few years!

How terrible! But I remember practically running out of the room anytime someone brought a camera out! What a horrible thing to miss out on, memories with family.

I am back on the wagon though! Even taking pictures of myself just to make sure there is some memory of me somewhere!

I am still missing out on being able to run as fast as I would like. That's my biggest issue right now. Anyway, I'm on the right path to reach my goal somewhere Feb 08, which is pretty sweet.
