Actually, I'm working from home today, so I am going to try to stay on track for my diet... I have trouble sticking to the eating every 2.5hrs that I do at work b/c there is less structure.

Go Jennifer!

Good luck, Dave. If it weren't for instructions on the machine lids, I'd be in trouble!

I found this blog post to be very inspiring, so I thought I would share since it can be applied to challenging ourselves.

When I was in high school, I think running a mile at 10:30 or so was good for me. Now, I can run a mile a in 7:24. Persistence pays off! Good job jennifer.

I started just like you, hating running, but now, I hate it a little bit less and I'm a lot better at it. Yesterday I ran for 45 minutes (~4.6 miles) and I only stopped because I was getting a blister.

Jennifer, you are great! Able to run 2.5 miles is great for beginner. I was dead tired and slept the whole day after my 1st 2 mile run.

I did not like running before. Now, I am addicted. Initially, I run to lose weight. But, now, I love it so much that my objective has changed. My focus is to run better. Losing weight is still my goal but becomes my 2nd priority already. I am looking forward for every long run. You will like it, Jennifer. Let's keep it up and encourage each other. I am so happy that you are into running also.

My challenge is to be able to run faster pace in each race I enter this year. My 1st marathon in 2008 is Jan 20. I am hoping to beat my own record by 30min.

I challenge myself to do a real cardio workout today and try to workout some anger/tension. I think I'll see how close to a mile I can run (at a snail's pace I'm sure)

Still feel like ....just not a good week I guess.

Quoting: lglcctj
at a snail's pace

You will be fine, Cardio King!

I run slow also. Very slow. My running is jogging to many. But, it is alright. Running is a challenge to yourself. I use my last race record/pace as a challenge even though I can't compete with true runners yet.

Snails pace is still a pace though right? Gotta start somewhere after all, gonna challenge myself to a nice long run tonight too!

And who says you can't win the race at a snail's pace?

(Good saying, and it rhymes! Doesn't get any better than that)
