Don't get discouraged when you feel you are not where you should be with your weight loss. Sometimes it takes time for change. If you are working hard don't forget to praise yourself for your dedication instead of scolding yourself for not being where you planned to be. You may notice that your waistline is slimmer and your pants are rommier. Also, you may notice you are not out of breath every time you take the stairs. "Are you missing some of your favorite foods because you are trying to lose weight? Denying yourself of your favorite foods can really preoccupy your mind. This may take control of your actions and lead to overeating. Let yourself have the high calorie foods you love in small portions. You can make all foods fit into your meal plan as long as you fit them into your daily total."...

Reply by Monique Kamosi

Quoting: lglcctj

"Do you feel like you're progressing too slowly and on the verge of going in reverse? Be patient. Your weight did not increase all at once! In fact for many people, weight can creep up so slowly that it catches them off guard when their pants no longer fit. This is usually due to minor, often unconscious changes in eating or activity levels. Thus, it's going to take some time to take the weight off. "It's likely that the scale will not always move in the right direction. However, this doesn't mean you have to give up and return to your old ways. Make a list of all the positive things you're doing now. Then make a list of ways you could gauge your progress other than your weight. Have your body fat measured. You could be decreasing body fat even though you are not seeing big changes on the scale. For example, are you helpful, practical, sensible, faithful, competent, witty or compassionate? Write them down on a 2 x 3-inch piece of paper. "Having trouble staying on track with your eating and exercise plans because of your family obligations? This is one of the most common obstacles to weight loss. However it is surmountable. In fact, many parents who have effectively overcome this obstacle tell us they stopped trying to get away from their family to lose weight and started including their family in ther weight loss. They did more active things with their kids and prepared healthier recipes for the family.&...

Reply by Dave Nicholson

I'm wearing a bow in my hair.

Reply by Cardio King

Today's Tip (this one really hits close to home for me):
"People who have successfully lost weight tell us they visualized what they thought they would look like at several points between their starting weight and their goal weight. Give it a try, if your goal is to lose 40 pounds, try visualizing what you would look like at weight loss increments of ten pounds. Make sure to visualize what you'll wear and even how you'll wear your hair.
