"The Iron never lies to you. You can walk outside and listen to all kinds of talk, get told that you're a god or a total bastard. The Iron will always kick you the real deal. The Iron is the great reference point, the all-knowing perspective giver. Always there like a beacon in the pitch black. I have found the Iron to be my greatest friend. It never freaks out on me, never runs. Friends may come and go. But two hundred pounds is always two hundred pounds." - Henry Rollins

While on vacation in San Francisco, I found two things I really wanted to try on, but alas, they didn't have big enough sizes for me. But you know, what the hell, I'm on vacation I thought to myself. So I grabbed the largest sizes they did have to try on anyways. I had to at least try on something. (The store was H&M, btw, so it's not like they don't normally make larger things, they were just out.)
Lo and behold, the size 10 pants fit. That's not happened to me since middle school/freshman year. Perhaps even more thrilling, the size 8 dress fit. I've NEVER fit into a size 8 dress before. Never.
Word to your mom's, I came to drop bombs. And now I feel truly accomplished.
So, word to the wise; pull that smaller size off the shelf every once in a while and just give it a shot for fun. You might be surprised and spend the rest of the day with a shit eating grin on your face.

I am 32 years old and I have four kids...1 boy and 3 girls. I have a lot of weight to lose because I want to be a healthy role model for them. I also just want to be healthier...so I can see them grow old!

Sadly, no, I cannot lift my own weight yet. But I am definitely making progress, especially with the bench. I can now rep 75 lbs, so I'm about half way there. For squats I've been holding steady at reping 80 lbs for a while now. Need to find a boost for myself there.

Such a great feeling - I love squeezing into size 10 (that's US size 6 I think) jeans but I don't always make it and have to buy size 12. I then feel depressed for a while that I'm a '12' more often than not!

I am a mother of one. I had always been somewhat underweight, but during my pregnancy gained and gained and gained. I could not control the urges to eat. I even ate foods that I HATE.
Now, nearly three years after the birth of my DS, I am taking my life back; I'm reclaiming my health and vowing to not just be a mother to my son, a wife to my husband, but to be confident and feel attractive again.
I welcome any help and encouragement.

awsome! That is so great! Nothing like a great surprise like that. I can't wait until I get a surprise like that! Who needs to be surprised with something like diamonds when you fit into smaller clothings! :P
