I've only been a member here for about a week, but I've been really trying to lose weight since November 2006. A lady at work told me you could really tell I'd lost weight. I never noticed it, so I figured she was being nice.

I have a pair of pants I've been wanting to wear to work. About a month or so ago I tried them on. I could button them, but they were uncomfortable and a little tight in the thighs. They're a light colored pant (kind of off-white), so if they're snug, they look REALLY unattractive.

Anyway, just for fun, I thought I'd try them on today...THEY FIT!!! And they don't look really bad or anything. I'll have to find a new garment in my closet as a goal now. Mind you, it took months to lose the little bit of weight needed because I was horribly unfocused. I only exercised a couple times a week (if that) and wasn't really dieting. Talk about inspiration to finally stick to this

Needless to say, I'm in a good mood.

Happy Easter everyone

As a side note: I think the dieter/exerciser is the last to realize they've lost weight. So, if someone tells you you look like you've lost weight, just believe them, even if you don't notice it

Fantastic! It feels so amazing to look at yourself in the mirror one day and really notice how things have changed, doesn't it?

It is nice to finally see that things are changing. When I wasn't seeing any results, I got really discouraged. I'm glad things are starting to finally improve. Now...just 40 lbs to go.

What a great way to start your week!!!! If 40 lbs. seems overwhelming to you, how about setting some mini-goals...shoot for 10 lbs....then you'll only be 30 lbs. away. You CAN do this! Just remember that those white pants won't fit forever, so enjoy them before they get too BIG for you!
