Sorry if this isn't the correct forum, but I am feeling EXTRA motivated today as I just got on the scale and saw that I'm down 3lbs! Finally! FINALLY!

I've been eating healthy and adding in exercise for two weeks and there haven't been any scale results until today! YAY! I was starting to despair of ever seeing any weight-related results but my scale finally caught up with the other good things I'm discovering while doing this. (not as sluggish, no bloated feeling after eating, more energy, yummy tasty food to eat instead of bland greasy food etc etc.)

I guess I'm just celebrating today! I'm going to get out and walk down to the health food store at lunch and browse around as a treat! Yay!

Congrats Barbara!

Great job! I agree. I find that my OWN accomplishments are the most motivating. It is fun to see the transformation... success can be self-perpetuating. You have Inertia! I really try not to allow my celebrations sabotage my successes. I celebrate (non-food related) for a nanosecond... and then move on and remain focused.

Keep up the great work!

Thanks KM! My treat was the walk through our downtown area this afternoon. I love window shopping. And while I was at the health food store I found out when the farmer's market was starting up again so I can get nummy fresh foods from local farms this summer. Plus, I picked up a "Pink Lady" apple for an afternoon snack. If you haven't tried them, do so! They are wonderfully refreshing little apples! Tart and sweet!

Good job! Keep it up. I would go crazy if the scale didn't move for two weeks, but you kept at it and it paid of. Good for you.

Ooo! I love Pippins and Galas! Apples are feeding my "crunch" craving lately.

Big, fresh carrots are another option.

They have tons more flavor than the pre-packaged baby carrots, and you get the bonus benefit of having to peel them.

In my initial shot at WW, I replaced morning cereal with nonfat yogurt and half of dinner with a couple of really big fresh carrots. These helped kick start the changes in my eating habits.

It seemed like I was melting for a couple of weeks.

I agree Barbara! The best thing about the lifestyle change is that I find the food just taste better! Switching to more whole foods and raw veggies and the like makes me forget about all the junk I was taking in before... I can't even recall the foods I used to eat, especially when I sit down to a healthy meal that just tastes fantastic!
