Don't let it be a problem and it prolly won't. I was already slacking off when I started, gained about 5 pounds but I'm sure it was more from the cake and cookies than the pill.

Here's the thing... even if it is actually an issue, it's not much of one. We're talking a couple of pounds. At most. That's it. Women can be incredibly fit and cut on the pill, just like women can not gain 80 pounds whilst preggers. It's all a matter of whether you let the excuse give you an excuse to slack off. If you don't, no problem, you're fine. If you do, it's not the pill (or the baby), it's you.

On the bright side, hopefully you'll fix your health complaint, you'll reduce your risk of ovarian cancer (risk is higher if one has never interrupted that particular cycle with bc or babies), and hopefully you won't get all razor-blade-y either.

I usually use the one rolling it's eyes...
It seems to pretty well convey my feelings when I'm in that mood.

wow! lots of replies lol, i do get exercise, i am the one walking with my horse; not on him lol, and riding is also a cardio and good muscle trainer I have been riding for 13 years and i do have some pretty decient muscles, i just wanna get rid of that last little layer of fat. i was loosing like 3 pounds a week, but then the binge monster of Weed kicked in and i had a bad weekend lol, so now im resolving to cut back alil more on that. and i did switch Birth control though, I am on Yasim, which really helped with my acne, and didn't make depressed or gain weight or anything so far, loestrin 24 is what got to me and not being on BP isn't an option, i have a boyfriend and enjoy the sex, i just hate the condoms haha.

Chereen: don't worry to much about the starting a new BP, everyone reacts differently to them, and as along as you can acknolge if a bad change ios going on in your body just stop taking them, thats what i did, your period starts in like two days, but your body will be OK

@ Chereen: I've been on several forms of hormonal birth control, and I've never had any issues with weight gain from them. I had plenty of horribly problems with Depo, but weight was not one of them. So, give it a shot. You can always change your birth control method if you have any annoying side effects.
