I want to come down 2-3 pounds before July 19, my first Triathlon. I understand calorie calculators are not reliable, but I want to use every guidance tool possible.

If I have spent one hour in the gym lifting weights, is it better for me to log 1 hour of weight training, or to total up all the time not spent recovering?

If I am taking 1-2 minute breaks between sprint intervals and stop to recover, is it best to log 20 minutes of high intensity running or the realistic 8 or so?

Thanks guys.

Well I use a heart rate monitor and I find that it works well as your body is recovering its still beating fast.

That said I do weights for 40-50 minutes during lunch and keep the breaks to 30-60 seconds depending on lifts and just count my overall time. I've found that doing that my heart rate monitor (polar f11) shows about what traineo shows on easy...
