I recently purchased this book called 5 factor fitness by Harley Pasternak, I haven't received it yet but the reviews are convincing!
The author also trains some of Hollywood's best bodies, Hally Berry, Eva Mendez ect... his approach seems pretty interesting...fitting a workout into 25 minutes 5 times a week with inevitable results....it's worth trying look it up!

That book sounds reasonable.

I would say that 30 minutes of moderate-intense activity a day is the minimum you should aim for, and the book comes close enough.

Dietary guidelines seem reasonable too, though we could quibble over fat and such. It's still pretty solid.

Having a cheat day is a reasonable accommodation.

All in all, it sounds like a good choice! It would probably take you pretty far before you felt the need for an improved diet or routine, and the simplicity is appealing.

How do you find the book so far? I hadn't actually read it, just basing off of reviews and its description.

I'm doing it right now. I started just from the book "5 Factor Fitness" (now there's a "5 Factor Diet," which I haven't read), but I recently signed up for the online program, which is more customized, especially for women. It's a little pricey, though.

Anyway, I like it because I have practically no discipline when it comes to the gym, but it's hard to justify avoiding a 25 minute workout, even 5 times a week. I think it's probably best for people who either have very easy access to a gym (in your office or apartment building) or who work out at home. I think it would be hard to drive to the gym (and park, and the whole headache) five times a week.

I just started a 5 Factor traineo group at 5factor.groups.traineo.com. Please join!
