I now know why traineo includes everyday activities as a workout.
I was reading a magazine that said that people who lead active everyday lives and rarely sat still, were naturally slim.
They burned calories through Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis.
Active, restless people burned upto 350 cal per day just being generally restless, active or even fidgetty.

So...what you're saying is if I do chores and the like, I can speed up my weight loss? Awesome.

Get fit and my mom gets off my case; I kill two birds with one stone!

i think a few years ago somebody wrote an entire book about burning calories through fidgeting. if i can find the title, i'll post it.

i remember reading somewhere that even sitting and reading a book burned more calories than sitting and staring into space/watching tv (of course this amount is almost trivial, except in the long term). it makes sense. after all, the energy to stimulate your brain has to come from somewhere...

So if I just shake my leg while I sit and watch TV all day, I can lose weight? Excellent!
