Any time I do a new (or one that I haven't done in a while) work out DVD or choreographed class, I usually have to watch them do the move a couple of times before I get it - sometimes they've moved on before I understand - on the Cardio Party one they are especially bad about that. I find myself going "uh, what did they just do...?"...

Reply by Neesha D

Quoting: shadowmoonit just goes too fast for my hefty body to keep up

I don't think it has anything to do with your "hefty body." Any time I've tried a video workout I'm always so surprised how fast they zip from one move to the next, and I'm still trying to figure out the coordination between my arms and legs. I sometimes wish they'd just pause and go, okay, here's the step I'm trying to do at about 1/8 of the speed.

It's not a bad idea t...

Reply by Rachael M

It's awesome that you are trying though! I figure it will give me the start up training to do billys faster more complicated dvd's later on. i really like tae bo and kickboxing it's something that i can do and not think " i hate this make it end NOW".

that's why it bothers me i am still too slow to do the turbo jam. i tried twice and it just goes too fast for my hefty body to keep up with everyone else....

Reply by Rachael M

Quoting: shadowmoonwho cares if it's supposed to be postnatal, it's still a workout.

What they have available here is way way too expensive and from what i hear a waste of the money you do spend. there are no kickboxing or anything resembling kickboxing classes here which is why i am looking for dvd's. i've already looked into any martial arts classes and the cost is just too much and the treaching you recieve for that load of cash is half hearted at best. Also going anyplace is a huge diffi...

Reply by Emily Outland

You can't do better than actually attending a class. I love my martial arts class and they are very accepting of all ages and abilities. I'm highly motivated to go to my small class because I'm missed if I don't go, sometimes people even call to see if i'm sick. I hope you can find a good class to go to, and good people to sweat with!...

Reply by Rachael M

Bill Blanks has got some Tae Bo stuff.

Reply by jo b

I want to start putting some kickboxing in my exercise routine but am finding i am having a hard time finding any kickboxing dvd's.
there aren't any classes here where i live even if i could afford them.

right now i am doing walk and kick which is power marching with simple kickboxing moves thrown in. i went to amazon marketplace and got kickboxing for dummies for cheap too but want something more.
I used to love tae bo but i am finding from reviews that the newer ones aren'...
