I might have overdone it or maybe it is because I forgot to stretch after the 3.5 mile walk/run. The day after I went out on this damn walk with interval running in between, my leg started to hurt. We went to the beach to Maine and I ran some more thinking the pain will go away. It has been five days and it is still here.

I am so bummed! It feels like I just started to gain momentum. From what I read on various sites, I should stay off of it for a bit. Maybe, I'll try swimming and take it as an opportunity to improve my swimming. Though, it is much harder to burn as many calories swimming as I am not that good.

Oh well, everything happens for a reason, I suppose. It is just a temporary set back. I can still lift weights.

I forgot to add the question if any of you had it, how long it lasted and was there anything special you did that helped more?

I am going to wait a little before I go to the doctor as it does not seem to be too terrible at this point.

I don't think I've every injured my achilles tendon, but swimming is great exercise and good for people with injuries. Even if you aren't very good at it, you can burn some serious calories.
