Thus, blood sugar problems will not effect everyone who has it. And, based on my own research (don't have time to look up now) and talks with my doctors, the effects on blood sugar can go either way - too much/too low.

The best thing for every one (with or without it) is to eat regularly and prevent huge spikes/crashes in insulin....

Reply by Angie Hudson

http://pcos.insulitelabs.com/

INSULIN RESISTANCE IS A ROOT CAUSE OF PCOS

Are you one of the millions of women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome who, no matter what they've tried, has failed to better manage or reverse the symptoms of this condition? It may not be due to lack of willpower. Instead, you could be Insulin Resistant, a root cause of PCOS. As a girl who's watched her mother suffer with it and is now going through something like it I can relate on both a physical, mental, and emotional level. I truely do understand it though I'm always willing to learn more. As for it affecting blood sugar well that's not something it's known for. Though you could create a family tree of like symptoms for it, blood sugar levels will always be effected by what you ea...

Reply by Angie Hudson

Quoting: sweetsdidmeinAngie- No, actually we believe I have endometriosis or PCOS

My friend has PCOS, and it can definitely affect your blood sugar, and cause elevated insulin levels which can contribute to obesity. Extremely low blood sugar can even cause seizures. My friend has to be very careful when working out; she had a crash similar to yours at work once after weight lifting at lunch. You should educate yourself on how to better control or reduce your insulin response, which will in...

Reply by Rachael M

Shannon, so sorry to hear that you collapsed! Angie- No, actually we believe I have endometriosis or PCOS (which my mother has and can be genetic) which can be aggravated by working out which would explain a lot of other things that have been happening to me for a while.

The paramedics were called and my blood pressure had dropped to something like 80 over 86, very low, and low for myself in general as I'm usually in the 120's. A healthy range.
