So I decided to take today as a rest day; been to the gym for 11 straight days and I typically listen to my body for when I need to rest... the last break I took was because I got sick and didn't want to spread it around the gym (after all, I'm pretty sure I got sick because of a jerk at the gym!)

I'm basically bored out of my mind. I've played Xbox, practiced guitar, washed laundry, drew a few drawings, gone grocery shopping, etc. I'm out of things to do! I've recently become single so it's not like I can spend time with her... which is what I used to do when we were together; just have a lazy day watching movies and what not.

What do you guys do when your "day off" falls on your weekend?

i find it hard to take a day off on the weekends too because they are such long days. but i enjoy it - sleep in since i'm up early every day during the week - and enjoy a nice lazy cup of coffee while on the couch still in my pj's. but then i'll clean to feel like i'm moving around and burning some kind of calories!
11 days in a row, that's great! I used to be able to do that, but now for some reason I can do 4 at most until my body is so tired that I need a rest day. go you!

Well, it certainly helps that my ~9 year relationship ended so the gym is a good distraction; but it's certainly not the only reason I've been going. I started my new gym regimen before she and I were over and I just haven't let that break-up affect my routine.

I usually try to "schedule" my rest days for work days, but it just didn't work out that way today... heh. Like I said, I listen to my body and when I woke up today, it said "don't do it!"

I'm always busy with something or other, and in a house it seems that even if everything's done, there's always another thing. Plus I work from the home, (audio production), so really, there is ALWAYS a project or a part of a project that needs tending to. Or some gear or software that needs tweaking/upgrading. Or files need sorting or...

Here's some things that might interest you:

Go for a nice long walk in a place that's new(ish) to you.

Check out China Town, (if there's on in your city), for new and different veggies and sauces etc. Or Little Italy, if you have one.

Is there a zoo where you live? Why not spend some QT there...

Go to a garden center and buy a spice garden, nothing like fresh herbs to make all your food more fun. Plus it's real nice to eat what you've grown.

Do you like art, or history, or science? How 'bout a museum...

Is it cool to sit in at uni classes there? If so, pick one and enjoy.

Go on a photo-shoot. It's neat what catches our eyes when we're open to the world around us.
