Here is a series of articles by Kevin Raison, a prominent personal trainer in the UK.

Burn Fat, Lift Heavy Part 1

Burn Fat, Lift Heavy Part 2

Burn Fat, Lift Heavy Part 3

Burn Fat, Lift Heavy Part 4

My girlfriend started the routine he suggests about 2 weeks ago and she loves it as well as she is getting over the wall she hit. Hope it helps someone as well.

I will actually be looking into this Matt. I need to get a god routine down and I read his articles and they seem to make sense.

god routine down

God routine? You must want to lift some really heavy weights. You might want to look into the Spartans workouts.

But for a GOD routine. Try some sick gymnastic style exercises. Or something like this guy:

Human Flag Crunches

I'll have to try this out. At first I thought the instructions were to do the WHOLE routine 8 times but I'm pretty sure he just meant the cardio... just doing the cardio will be tough.

There are so many workouts that make sense that its hard to decide, I guess I just have to try them and see for myself.

The spartan workout is nuts and should only be attempted if you are ALREADY in amazing shape:

a) Pullups - 25 reps
b) Deadlifts with 135lbs - 50 reps
c) Pushups - 50 reps
d) 24-inch Box jumps - 50 reps
e) Floor wipers - 50 reps
f) Single-arm Clean-and-Press with 36lbs Kettlebell - 50 reps
g) Pullups - 25 reps

I believe you go for quickest time for this workout aiming to do all 300 reps in about 20 minutes. Is this the one you are talking about Fred?

There's a good reason that Crossfit.com's mascot is called "Pukey the Clown". Their motto is "Get fit, or die trying."

Just looked at the Human Flg Crunches vid. That's easy. No problem. If I've had 25 beers, pass out, I could easily dream about doing that!!

Part 1 is a real piece of work. So filled with half truths that I almost don't want to read about the workout... but I will continue on in the name of fitness!

Seems like solid advice. What good does weight training do if it's not HARD to do? The sissy girls in the gyms that lift 5 lb weights... pshhhhh... wow, that's sooo hard. LOL
