Does any use / used drinks or shakes that contain things such as Creatine Monohydrate, Glutamine etc. to recover and support muscle growth?

Stuff such as maximuscles's Cyclone seems to advertised a lot but I'm unsure if they actually work? I have been also been told that they taste pretty bad as well.

Any advice would be helpful.

i bought some of the maximuscle cyclone couple of weeks ago and have found it pretty good. its difficult to judge exactly what effect it has had in terms of muscle growth, because im not sure what gains i would have made without it over the same period. i would say it certainly aids recovery though.

as for the taste, its not that bad. i have tried vanilla and chocolate and i preferred the chocolate, the vanilla was too sweet.

its also quite expensive if you use the recommended dose, a 1.2kg tub lasts about 10 days (daily serving of 2x60g). they have a 3 for £100ish offer i think... but still £100 a month is a bit much...

you can buy the creatine on its own though and i think thats cheaper if thats all you want. cyclone has lots of protein and some carbohydrate in too.

I use the Powerbar Endurance Drink during my ride and on anything longer than 15 miles, I use the Powerbar Recovery drink. I swear by the Recovery drink now after I was given several packets to try by a riding buddy after a 33 mile ride in the heat and humidity of North Florida. Took me three days to recover from that. Once I did recover, I rode for 35 miles, then drank a packet of the magic juice and I was back out the next day for 20 miles without any issues or sore legs. The better taste of the Endurance drink versus plain water is also keeping me hydrated better as well, which I feel is allowing for better recovery.
