Married mother of two. I work aprox. 55 hours a week as a pump mechanic for commercial and military airplanes. Been fighting with my weight for years, achieved my "goal weight" three years ago, and a very high fitness level...but I've let it all slide...it's amazing how fast it goes....I feel like lately I"ve been borderline toying with a binge eating disorder and it disturbs me!!! I also just recently started college classes again in attempts to get my nursing degree....sooooooooooooo, I know it's a EXCUSE...but it's so hard to find the time to exercise!!!! I need to get back to my yoga...that really had a way of calming me down..much like eating after a long day calms me down...

any one tried the new flavors? there are the original ones.....chocolate, peanut butter, and now there are strawberry almond and apple cinnamon...they are all awesome for a quick healthy snack! obviously the NON processed stuff is best...but these are a good sweet healthy treat in a pinch with lots of fiber!!!

I'm at student, working to get a Masters in Computer Science. I like to read, write, run, climb, and swim. Although I haven't climbed much recently. I'm currently training for a half marathon on Aug. 17th.

I love the chocolate and oats ones. They taste like eating a chocolate bar, but way less calories and lots of fiber.
I haven't see the new ones though, but I'll keep an eye out. The apple cinnamon sound good.

I am a slow runner, decent snowboarder, and aim for wiisports rookie of the year. I have strong legs, eastern european calves, and like to lift things my boyfriend thinks I can't. A busy and constantly changing schedule make it hard to get into and stay in a workout routine. I'm a crusader for medical scientific truth in nutrition and weight loss discussions and I heart fiber.

Megan those are much better for you, so I wouldn't eat the fiber one bars.

Really...bars period, along with most processed food...should be a no no, don't you think? in a pinch though...whatever works. I like the Luna bars, for something besides just Fiber...those are good. The gnu bars just have a texture of something that has allready been processed by a person...lol

the only bars I eat are the high-fiber ones. if they're not helping me accomplish my fiber intake, I'd rather spend the calories on something else. I love the texture of the gnufoods ones. soft and chewy.

The Fiber One bars never sit well in my stomach, but the gnufoods ones have been pretty good.

I like the Fiber One bars, but I refuse to look at the ingredients. There's gotta be a ton of sugar in them.
Yeah, I looked, High Fructose Corn Syrup, that's crap.
They're still good though, but there's better ways to get fiber.

I just got a box of Oats and chocolate bars last week to take on a road trip so I wouldn't have to stop for food as often and while they are tasty...they are wayyyy too sweet.

Words to live by: "Now's the time to grab the steering wheel of your life. Delve deep within yourself and take responsibility for your health and behavior. Ask yourself hard questions and face the truth of what needs to be done. Weight loss is not always easy or fair but you are the only one that can lose weight for you. Take a turn for the better!"
Goals: 1) Lose ~45 pounds 2) Work out at least 6 days a week 3) Eat healthier consistently
I will reward myself at the following weights: 235, 230, 225, 220, 215, 205, 200, 195
I will reassess my goals after I have met the above goals.
