So, I got this stuff, "Hodgson Mill Multi Grain Hot Cereal", which is uber heart-healthy. The down side is it tastes a little like mud with pieces of sticks in it. It still has the yummy grain taste, but it's a little muted.

Any suggestions of things to add that are easy, sweet and tasty, and do not alter the nutrition content too significantly?

thinking about raisins, or making some homemade 'apple sauce' w/ white raisins, cinnamon, & some random sugar substitute...

it's eatable, but I would prefer to look forward to it

What about natural honey? I used to stick that in my oats every now and again as a treat.

Good ole fashioned molasses are always nice, and so forgotten these days, (sonny!)

Dried cherries and berries would likely rock considerabley too...

Makes me madder that the market was OUT OF MY BELOVED MUSLIX today!

hey, I grew up on molasses milk, m'am

Another good idea - one I was thinking about this morning, wondering what the nutritional content of molasses was!

I doubt it's much more than at least a close to the source, source of fructose--depending on what kind you get.

If you're trying to limit your carb-cals, then check out Xylitol or Steviva, (I've tried both now and dig 'em--expecially the Xylitol for taste and sugar-like properties).

I stir a little no-sugar-added jam or fruit spread in mine sometimes, but my standard add-in is cinnamon. Cinnamon just makes everything seem sweeter, and it's good for the blood pressure.
