When you're feeling under the weather, what is your favorite comfort food?
Personally, I'm crazy about brussel sprouts with hollandaise sauce.

Words to live by: "Now's the time to grab the steering wheel of your life. Delve deep within yourself and take responsibility for your health and behavior. Ask yourself hard questions and face the truth of what needs to be done. Weight loss is not always easy or fair but you are the only one that can lose weight for you. Take a turn for the better!"
Goals: 1) Lose ~45 pounds 2) Work out at least 6 days a week 3) Eat healthier consistently
I will reward myself at the following weights: 235, 230, 225, 220, 215, 205, 200, 195
I will reassess my goals after I have met the above goals.

Something with chocolate...
Not the healthiest, but it has antioxidants, right?

If I'm really sick, all I want is some tomato soup and a grilled cheese.

Wow. I can't imagine eating sweets when I'm ill!
Yes. Beer is food. (IMHO)
When sick? Homemade chicken noodle soup ranks # 1 with me.
Today, with cramps... coffee and yogurt. Eating really light seems to help.

I'm basically trying to get in shape and be healthy...
diaryofthefatman.blogspot.com
I like participating in sports but I want to be more competitive. Also I'm with Kevin Spacey from American Beauty - good reason :)
I'm looking to lose about a hundred lbs in the course of a year, and basically to just consistently get better. And I love comments and messages, so keep 'em coming!
I talk about goal setting a lot, how about I actually set some?
Well it's time to revisit goals... I didn't do too well with my end of year plans, but learned some things and changed my plans up a bit as I went along. During the 5-7 weeks of the year, I was able to put on about 8-10lbs of muscle, and stay at the same actual weight. The plan is to start the Strong Lifts 5X5 program to supplement the Couch to 5K program, and that should last the next 8-12 weeks.
I'm updating goals as well. Lowering cholesterol remains a goal, and I'll find out about that at the end of August.
Been bouncing around a bit, but getting a little stricter again and will monitor that over the next 3-4 weeks. I feel poised to really lose some weight again, so I'm looking forward to the healthy eating and additional exercise.

I'm a big fan of the homemade chicken soup, so long as I'm the one to make it... Unfortunately that doesn't happen a lot when I'm sick, don't feel like making stock for hours first...
If I'm just down/bored/moody I like home cooked meal type foods; meatloaf, mac & cheese (too much work, but I'll take the boxed one, add tuna, can of cream mushroom soup, and veggies... and eat the whole thing...)... occasionally I will want sweets, but very rarely - rich chocolate cake perhaps...

I think the sweet craving comes from when I'm under the weather, my taste buds and sinuses are shot. I crave strong sweet things to taste them more I guess. To each his own.
Green Tea is good of course and soothes the throat.

I agree that green tea is wonderful when one is sick but, for general pain, ya can't beat an 88 calorie beer! ;)

Oops...I didn't realize you meant physically sick, lol!
Some nice cold orange juice is usually good when I'm physically ill. If I'm mentally under the weather, then it's usually anything that I know isn't healthy for me from the "nachos, hamburgers, tacos, pizza, pasta" category. Those all sound so good...lol!

Chocolate always makes me happy, whether I'm in need of comfort or not.
But when I'm sick, I don't tend to crave anything.

I'm a dancer, just now learning how to take better care of my body! I'm also a foodie and an advertising professional - not sure which of the three I like best. I like snowboarding, calico kittens, collecting badass hoodies and sneakers, poker, crude humor, the fine arts, and colorful socks.

brownies, with lots of nuts. or peppermint chunks on top. also excellent with toffee and milk chocolate chunks. amazing with peanut butter cups or pieces of snickers.
i am a brownie fanatic.
and macaroni n cheese - my favorite food! oh the possibilities... and i just can't get over how versatile it is. living off easy mac in college wasn't so bad but now i like to experiment with all sorts of other cheeses - swiss, munster, white cheddar and surprisingly... cottage cheese is amazing! paired with swiss, it adds good texture and offsets the really strong sharp cheddar!

Success is not a race, be patient. Success leads to success. Success is always a work in progress. Success doesn't come to you--you go to it. Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process. Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it. Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying. Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED! If at first you don't succeed-try, try again

Nothing sweet - I am not a sweet tooth...so it'd be something liked grilled cheese...or something like a homemade french onion soup with grilled cheese croutons floating in it mmmmm...
