So I came up with a new thought today as I was eating a piece of Chocolate. The wrapper showed no Calories on it, so does this mean it has no calories?

If so I may have to go back and eat the rest of the individual wrapped ones and thank the FDA for helping companies create such great treats with no calories! And here I thought celery was the only 0 Calorie snack!

I do believe I need to know what chocolates these are! Also, if properly prepared, digesting cauliflower, cucumbers, spinach, and many others can cause your body to burn more calories than you ingest.

0 calorie chocolate sounds like dirt, but 0 calories? I'd rather just eat chocolate, there are many benefits that come with small amounts of dark chocolate, like elevating mood and raising antioxidants. Some research shows it can even prevent heart disease.

I've heard that if you close your eyes when you eat chocolate, it has no calories.

So Shawn, if you close your eyes when eating 0 calorie chocolate bars, could you actually be eating a healthy snack?

I'm willing--for the sake of science that is, to give it a try!

I think that's impossible.

and I wouldn't want to put that stuff in my body cuz god knows about the chemicals. I'm finishing up this box of sweetener I got once for fun, but it like dissolves when I put it in my coffee, disgusts me (sweetner name: Equal)

It's probably one of those trick things that say like 0 calories cuz it's so insignificant for the number of xx grams but then as soon as it's like 2 times xx it has a bit of calories so then who knows how much it is for the whole bar. Read carefully.

I had pickle the other day, it said half a pickle had zero calories. And I know that cucumbers have calories and pickles are made from cucumbers (I think?)

as for mustard, it's the same trick that I mentioned earlier. You think mustard is better than ketchup? I think mustard is 10 cals per teaspoon and ketchup is 50 cals per tablespoon. So really they come out to like the same thing, just less sugar.

I hate to be cynical but if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Nothing is for free, nothing is easy.

I'm still curious about this. What company is it? I want to inform myself, I could be wrong.

Reminds me of an episode in Friends where Monica has to work with an unapproved chocolate substitute.

Wow I wrote all that for nothing, I just realized what the original poster meant. Never mind then, sorry for that.

and ya it bugs me when tons of companies don't put info on wrappers, especially when you go overseas, it's hard to keep track of what goes in your mouth.

Pickles are indeed made from cucumbers! An entire (fairly large) cucumber has less than 50 calories... Pickles are cucumbers in vinegar, which has the property of spiking your metabolism, and are generally served cold. Chances are, eating a pickle will result in zero calories, or even a calorie deficit - your body has to do the work of heating it up as well. Regular yellow mustard does indeed have 0 calories per tbsp (French's Classic Yellow), and though not much more, ketchup has about 14 per tbsp - 90% of which from sugar. So, go crazy with mustard covered pickles - free vitamins

Heh Aye i was joking about the chocolate

It was Garadilli (sp?). I wish it was 0 calories, but its the 60% cocoa dark chocolate and I rarely eat anything like that. Its kinda like the fact that I have 3 1/2 gallons of ice cream in the freezer but I haven't had but maybe 1/2 a cup in a week. With my current goals and plan I really just cut out the fluff... went out for Mexican last night and didn't eat any chips or salsa... friends laugh but respect it, and i'm proud of knowing i'm doing what it's going to take to hit my goals

Isn't being pregnant like a 'free' 20lb card? Its like monopoly where when you pass Go, you get 200$. Well here, you're 'expected' to gain 20lbs...

Man for a pregnant man i'm actually in pretty good shape now

HELP!!!! I'm in desperate need of some tips on how to combat carb withdrawal. I am so cranky and anxious. Any real 0 calorie snacks I can have?

There arent really any "zero" calorie snacks you can have but there are plenty of LOW calorie snacks with great value!

hard boiled eggs
rice cakes
celery with skinny cow cheese/and or peanut butter
veggies and fat free ranch( if you get fat free sour cream and the powder ranch mix, its amazingly good!)
frozen grapes
low fat yogurt

the list goes on and on, I bet you could find more through out the forum. Just a few of my favorites.

Also make sure you drink plenty of water because sometimes you could be thirsty instead of hungry and not know it. (forget this if you already are (: )

As for carb withdrawl are you completely cutting carbs?
